HD ? again

I plan on getting another Hard drive and was wondering if there is a noticeable performance between a 64mb cache and 32? The larger SSD are still too expensive for me except for maybe a 40GB for the OS and programs. Anyone have advice on this in regards to speeding up load times with the instruments and specs listed in my sig? Thanks.

    Paulhcp,

HD spindle speed and areal density are far more important for HD speed than cache size. It is very unlikely that you would see any performance difference between HDs with 8MB versus 64MB cache.

If you are using soft synths, having two HDs (not just different partitions on the same drive) with your OS on one and samples on another can have a significant effect on soft synth performance.
