HELP! Major problem with Sonitus EQ in Sonar X1b Essential.

I recently updated X1a Essential to X1b and generally am very happy with it, with one major exception.

Any attempt to use the per channel Sonitus EQ results in the error:

"Cakewalk Mising Plug-in Stand-In

Plug-in: ChannelStrip EQ Proxy

This plugin is missing or improperly installed...."

The message also contains a Class ID which is not present in my registry - namely {141AC902-4357-6571-5043-532D474C7E31}

I assume this should be in the registry but it isn't.

The problem happens for both tracks and busses. I am however, able to load the Sonitus EQ as an insert effect, both on tracks and busses, but I shouldn't have to do this - the per channel EQ should work.

As a test, I performed a clean re-install of X1 and applied X1a and X1b, and checked the issue X1 "clean" and X1a. In both the per-channel Sonitus EQ works with no problems - strange...

Has anyone else ever come across this problem? If so, what can I do to fix it?

Cheers,
Gary.

Current configuration:
Core i3 Laptop / 8GB RAM; Sonar Platinum (replaced with REAPER); Roland Quad Capture interface; Alesis Micron; Roland XP30; Akai Mini MPK; Akai S2000

    Update:

It appears that the message is shown if the EQ is not enabled and you double-click the EQ properties to open the EQ. Enabling the EQ first prevents the problem from occuring.

That said, double clicking on the "inactive" EQ properties should enable the EQ and then open the properties of it.

    Cheers,
    Gary.

Oh no, it had to happen sooner or later. Sonar has finally become so complex that it has developed it's own consciousness and is posing as Cakewalk-employees on the forum, while keeping all the true Cakewalk-employees locked up inside the studio.

The mission is too important to allow human error to jeopardise it.
