*** HELP *** Moved + Need Account Help!
Hello, I recently moved from the USA to the UK and I want to update my account to reflect this. So when I log in I see everything in British Pounds rather than USA dollars. I tried to add a new address in my account but it is not giving the option for United Kingdom in the list of countires... Anyone have any ideas? Hopefully someone with support will read this and be able to help ASAP as I would like to upgrade to Sonar X2 ASAP... Thanks in advance...

I relocated from the UK to Australia two years ago and I don't recall any resulting problems with my Cakewalk account, but I did have serious issues with eBay and PayPal. Are you using the same computer? If so, maybe deleting cookies will reset the default currency.

The default currency will "default" to where you are. (In my experience) you cannot buy in USD if you are located in the UK. If you could then everyone would as you'd miss paying good old VAT plus the extra charge that Cakewalk adds to UK prices. Welcome to England....land of slow internet and rip off prices. Grum.

I assumed the same... Delete my cookies and all would be well but this is not the case. When I go to purchase the Sonar X2 upgrade I have to log in to my account and when I select the GBP option instead of the USA option it says my user name and password to access my account is incorrect. If I go back and select the USA option and login I can login just fine. When I go to the shop and select my upgrade option it still shows it in US dollars? Again, I have tried to add my new address into my current account and I cant do it because its not giving me the United Kingdom option from the countries menu? I see everything else accept the UK??? Thanks for the input though guys, hoping I can get this solved ASAP!!!

Perhaps if you log in first, change region next, then maybe a different list of countries would be displayed. You probably need to sort the address issue before you start making a purchase.

Kev999 I relocated from the UK to Australia two years ago and I don't recall any resulting problems with my Cakewalk account... I take that back. I have just looked at my last two purchases, both made from Australia, and they both show the billing address as my old UK address, despite the fact that this address was deleted from my Cakewalk account long before these purchases were made. Go figure!
