HELP! MultiProcessing Engine Works in SONAR 8 but NOT in SONAR 8.5.3 WHY??? WIN 7

Computer Specifications:
 
Windows 7 64bit
Service Pack 1
AMD Athlon x4 640
RAM 4 GB
Sound Card
EMU 1212M
 
Software: SONAR 8 32bit, SONAR 8.5 32bit.
 
Problem: CPU USAGE is more than 50-60% in SONAR 8.5, But the exact same project opened in SONAR 8 is only 8-10%. ALSO...when I am in Sonar 8.5, the 4 cpu cores are NOTshown...only one...and yes I already made sure that the multiprocessing engine is switched on. IN SONAR 8 all 4 cores are shown, and cpu usage is very low. SO MY conclusion is that SONAR 8.5 is not utilizing the 4 cores, but SONAR 8 is using all 4 cores...WHY!!!!????????????
 
I've checked everything, I can't seem to find out the reason for this. Please help me. Thank you!

    Ah good saw your post in that old one so this is better idea start your own.
    As I asked there, did you enable "use multi core" in audio options?

    I have Sonar 8.5.3 and I have  2 meters which both get used.

    Yes I have that option enabled for both version. It only works in Sonar 8 though based on the CPU meter.

    I answered the second part of your question in the other thread. Do that, and then see if 8.5 and 8.0 still show different CPU usages for the same project.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
