HELP! New forum: "Secure Connection Failed"

Quickly posting here before it's too late:
When I go to the new forum I get the following error message:
 ---
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to discuss.cakewalk.com.
Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s).
(Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap)

Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site
---
So... I'm reporting it.

That's weird.  I had trouble getting in to it the other day but that  was 'page not found', haven't seen anything like you're describing.

I haven’t heard anyone mention this on the new forum, so most likely it’s some issue on your computer. You don’t say which browser you’re using or what version, but some things to check would be:
    1. Do you have the latest version of whatever browser you're using? If not, try to update it.
    2. Your system date. If incorrect, your browser might throw this error message even if the SSL certificate is question has a valid date. That’s because the date reported by your computer might fall outside the certificate’s valid date range.
    3. Are you using some antivirus program such as Avast, AVG, NOD32 or ESET? If so, unless your AV program supports the TLS 1.3 specification this error might show up depending on your browser’s brand and version. To verify if this is the problem, you might temporarily turn off your AV to see if you still get the same error when trying to access the new forum.
    4. Still no luck? Then test another browser.
One difference between the old and the new forum is that the new forum uses a secure connection (https), but the old forum does not. Thus this kind of error could never occur here.

It's strange 'cause I'm not sure what bit of BandLab is the bit I wanted, I had problems getting in as described . It seems the the song forum for cakewalk is a separate database than what appears to be their main site ?
I had a logging in problem with the 'Cakewalk Discuss' site a few times but it seems to have sorted its self out ? Anyway I'm not happy with the whole setup in general might just sulk at losing this site ...time will tell. Additionally I attempted to sign on to 'Beyond my DAW' as it is Bapu driven only to find out I can't use SupaReels Music as it's already used ! ... but it ain't me so that's dead in the water.
Writing and Mixing was always my reason for this pastime so maybe I'll dump the idea of getting feedback from my peers and chalk this up to a nice memory

    There's the new forum Steve - https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php

and the other 'Songs Feedback' bit on the main site - https://www.bandlab.com/community/songfeedback

I couldn't get into that one at all, so I'll stick to the Songs section of the new forum

Glad it's not just me, beginning to think I'm becoming a grumpy old sod ! ( when I say becoming ....) Just that I seem to be spending a lot of time sodding around to find the best place to park ! and less time on actually doing any studio stuff
Thanks for the heads up mate VM appreciated, though I have already signed up to the 'discuss' site as said so I'll catch you there ...
    Stay well

Some AV's try to monitor secure (https) web traffic. That means the AV tries to operate the connection to the website and also insert a secure connection to your web browser. If the AV doesn't do it all properly, including certificates and SSL versions, your web browser will suffer such a mysterious error message. Kaspersky is another one that does this.

In such a case, there may be an obscure setting you can make in your AV that disables scanning of secure web connections, and you are back in business. Though the AV may complain you are missing out on monitoring your web traffic.

Also, your browser may have a setting that enables and disables the various SSL versions, and may have the best ones disabled.

I have no Anti Virus so it's not that.

BeyondMyDaw.com is working with my current settings
so I'll stick to that for now.
