HELP PLEASE. Low level of sound input from keyboard in my audio interface

Hi
I am getting very low level of sound input in VS-100 from my BK5
I am using unbalanced connection cables to do the connection.
In VS 100 user's guide say's that input 3 and 4 are for balanced inputs
In BK 5 user's guide say's that output L/R should use unbalanced 1/4'' jack's
Can i connect both outputs with balanced connection cables?
Would it raise the input audio level on VS100?
Should i use the inputs 1/2 insted? (But i need them for my guitar and mic...)
Please help because i cannot record my performances from the keyboard...

What do the UV meters on your VS-100 say?

Have you tried adjusting the playback level on the VS=100?
