HELP - Wtf is wrong with this ****ty program!?

Everything was fine and dandy just the day before yesterday. Then I got a turntable and plugged it into my computers line-in input. Then today, nothing would record. I'd just get the ****ty programmed drum beats (which I never enabled in the past) blasting through my microphone. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, but that doesn't work. I am about ready to break this dumb disk in half unless someone here can give me some help

Your mic - a Samson CO1U or G-Track by any chance?

    ****ty programmed drum beats

Do you mean the metronome? Just turn it off.

Then I got a turntable and plugged it into my computers line-in input.

Does the turntable have a built in amp? If not, you'll need one to get the signal to line level.

James, the g-track is a sound card as I mentioned to Herb a while back. Although I'm pretty sure it doesn't have asio drivers. So asio4all is the way for that I guess.

Ok Tony, to add what James has asked.. what mode are you running in as well as the thing you bought and you have an onboard sound card as well?

Taking your misguided rage out on the disk.... might make you feel better.... but it's just plain dumb.....because it won't solve a single thing. The program is just doing what you tell it to do.... or not do.
This software is a bit of a trick to learn. Not impossible, but.... it would help to loose the attitude. Understand, it's YOU, that need to learn what you're doing..... not the stupid program screwing up.

When you get ready to learn how to do this recording thing..... you'll find lots of people here that are willing to help... but not with an attitude like that.

Dontcha luv folks that do that?

They get all mad as if its our fault that they don't understand.  While we all understand frustration and getting upset, stepping into a new forum and insisting on help...  Not to mention that they never give enough info for anyone to make any educated suggestions either.  Then they disappear anyway.  HA!  I usually just ignore em- but apparently not today.

So Beeb- can you tell us the name of the program, your system specs, and exactly what & how you are trying to do?  That would be a good start.
