What is NRPN and how can i used it?

Your best resource will be the manufacturers' documentation for your synths, since NRPNs by definition are vendor-specific extensions to the basic MIDI specification. It'll typically be an appendix to your printed documentation.

The world of NRPNs is truly anything-goes, since manufacturers are free to implement any commands they want. Typically, they are used to control parameters that are either unique to a particular synth or that have no standard control assignment. For example, I have a synth that allows you to programmatically change the pitch of individual drums in a kit using NRPN's.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
