HORSE - VERSION II

Hi everyone , after going round and round redoing this song because of the way I have been feeling over the last three weeks I finally decided to post it here today for any reviews and comments .
I hope you enjoy it for what it is , I created a new version of the old song called Horse I did four years ago . Scotty added some guitar to it back then , wish I had some good guitar lead mixed in but I don't so it is what it is right now .

Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone !

Nice. I find it a bit bottom heavy and would like to hear some of the other instruments a bit more clearly. Ease up on the bottom end of the drums. Cheers, Shad

Thanks and Happy New Year ! Glad you like my little bit of guitar work using my
newest guitar software called Strum Electric , still haven't figure it out completely
but I'm working on doing that so I can create some good guitar lead tracks for
                    my music .

good one James... hang in there buddy... Happy new year...

Thanks , this might be my last music project for the next three months if
we move to Tenneessee because I might be out of internet . We might
be sharing another place with another family member for three months
while we search for a place of our own and I don't think they have internet .
If this week they say start packing then this month its going to be spent
packing this place up and taking a week to drive across country from where I
live now with five cats in the dead of winter almost .
I'm not looking forward to any of this but my exwife wants to be around her
grandkids and the rest of the family so I guess I'm going to bite the bullet
and deal with it for two to three months .
Guess if I say hi or whatever using my iphone 4 cell phone.

Anyway its a blast into 2013 you might say with all guns firing all at once !LOL

Hope this year brings great inspiration for you - James

There's some really interesting rhythmic interplay in places which i liked a lot. This one drives along really nicely and has some interesting change-ups to keep it interesting. Good one James. Look after yourself.

Great news in my camp , not moving to Tennessee YEA ! That means I can keep working on some more song projects .
I made a last minute discision based on my heart issues , decided I would be taking a big risk by trying to move in Feb when we are having some really cold weather .

Anyway the plan is to kick start something new and fresh for new year in 2013  .

    Cheers - James

I didn't hear the first version but I like this one fine.  Traditionally, the bass should be a little lighter but I like the weight it adds and the space it takes up.  Nice interplay between the rhythmic elements.  Panning might open up the individual sounds some more.  Stereo tracks more often than not will drive me crazy as I try to " place"  them in the sound stage.  A lot of the time I convert to mono and just put it where I hear it should be.

Thanks for the listen , glad you enjoyed it . Yea the first version sounded ok
but not as nearly as good as this new version .
The old version the mix was really bad back then . It sounded good to me but
after I listened to it I thought wow I can recreate this again and make it sound
ten times better , so thats what I set out to do a month ago .

Thanks and Happy New Year to you - James
