Yes indeed, things may be looking up at last.

I'll be installing the new update tomorrow. There's still a couple of issues on my list, but if what's on that list is fixed then
I'll be a lot happier for the time being.

It really looks like the bakers are listening, and responding positively.

Now, time to get some overdue sleep, it's 3:40 am again.

    Cheers - Cliff

Congratulations, Cakewalk.  This is the way to solve problems.  Tackle a few problems at a time quickly instead of making us wait months for a massive fix.  You fixed the problem I was having regarding audio device disconnects in projects with different sample rates.  Thank you.

    All the best,

What a quick follow-up patch to X1b. Kudos to Cakewalk for listening to users, compiling a list of what is "Bugging" the most people and releasing a FIX pronto. Good service, I couldn't ask for more.

    Re:HOTFIX tribute!!!!! 2011/04/05 17:33:53 (permalink)
Yes, finally Cakewalk has seen the light! Release the bug fixes (as they get fixed) in more frequent smaller updates. Having to wait 3 months for the X1b update was utter torture. Especially knowing that something you were waiting to get a fix for, had already been fixed (internally) months before. People that want a fully tested Cakewalk certified 200MB update can wait their 3 months for it if they want to. The rest of us will get our quickfix!
This will work out better for Cake in the long run. Getting these "Quickfix" updates out so they can be field tested will provide more valuable feedback on what works and what can be further refined.

I am downloading my quickfix as I type this and hope to be able to enjoy many more in the future!

    Cheers,

    Billy Buck

Awesome! Actions speak louder than words and I'd rather have the Bakers working on patches as such than posting here as I was wondering what happened to the guys. What A great surprise.

So +1 and gimme my fix!

Agree that this is very cool. I will be interested to hear how you all feel in a few days to see if any new problems are tossed in the mix.

Meanwhile I welcome the pro channel fixes as that is really the reason I pulled the trigger on X1.

I certainly appreciate the Hot fix.

    "My earnest hope is that"
after a few days, when members of this forum have time to run the quick fix that they want so badly, do not complain vociferously about things not being perfect.

"I can only hope that we do not have a repeat of the blood and carnage of the past"
    in this forum.
    Thank You
