HS7 and Presonus Faderport

I am happy to say that I purchased a Presonus Faderport control surface the other day! Now...I am NOT HAPPY to say I have been trying to get the dam thing to work the last few days. I went to their web site and downloaded the latest firmware and I cant get past step 4 of the process of updating. HS acknowledges the controller because it is listed in my manager but it is not listed as a midi device.

Does anyone use this with Home Studio 7?

When trying to update the firmware I get an error message that says "could not find faderport control surface...Check the cables to ensure it is properly connected and press Next to try again"
I check, changed, deleted, and reloaded the firmware and it keeps coming up. I feel that I am one step from getting this thing to work but cant seem to get there.  Any advice would help. Thanks for listening.

    Well...........It doesn't matter anymore, I returned it for an AlphaTrack and it works perfectly! So I say &*&%$@#&*+$# to presonus for not being user friendly to this customer.
