HUDNowTime (not responding)

Never seen this one before:-

Project has a single instance of Reaktor with the Metaphysical Function ensemble loaded. Nothing else. No effects. Just the synth tracks (audio and MIDI) and the master buss.

I had just armed the audio track for record and then pressed the record button.

Problem reporter did not show.

I had to unplug my OCTA-CAPTURE to release the SONARPLT.exe

A second SONAR program icon appeared in my task bar title HUDNowTime and if I hovered the mouse over the icon the Now Time marker appeared.

When SONAR starts to fail, I have seen the Now Time marker appear detached from SONAR. I do not recall ever looking at the Task Manager because I would usually "X" out of SONAR.

    Hi Steve,

I sometimes look at task manager to see of other stuff could be going on and hogging the CPU.

Sometimes, SONAR can be reported as using 20% CPU, so I wait a bit before forcing SONAR closed. Sometimes I wait a few minutes to see if SONAR calms down a bit and starts responding again, although it's rare that it does.

And when you say "detached," I think I know what you mean in that the Now Time marker graphic looks a bit odd. In the case above though, it was so detached that it was in its own window...

    cheers

Failing Windows programs can show some messed up stuff in the Task Manager.
