Hackers need only your cell number to eavesdrop on your phone
This is troubling. The FCC has know about this for 2 years..and done nothing. Wanna bet the NSA/CIA/FBI has anything to do with the delay? http://www.zdnet.com/arti...s-and-read-your-texts/

The phone network is one of the most under secure systems in the world. And for some reason they are not trying to hard to make it much more secure. A recent program on this on the ABC here in Australia illustrated the ability for a really good hacker located somewhere in Romania hacked into one of our most senior ministers of parliament. He had all the conversation as well as texts etc..The minister said no way anyone could get into his phone. He was shocked after this demonstration. The prime minister could be hacked easily as we have done to our Indonesian counterparts on numerous occasions. It was worrying. That is why you should NEVER do any banking using your phone. You are asking for trouble. Just don't do it.

Early Tuesday there, mate? Good morning to you, then! I need to seriously consider uninstalling my banking apps. I seldom use them, so why risk it, right?

I'm doing my part to discourage these hackers. As soon as they get to my phone, I've got a link to the FSF waiting for them.
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

I guess it's good that my cell phone stays in my car with a dead battery most of the time ;)

I don't / won't own a cell phone....not just because of the stupidity in the engineering of it...but because of the very poor quality in it's supposed basic function. They're really crappy telephones.
