Hands Free Start and Stop of Sequence part

My band wants to perform a song live with the same short keyboard sequence that occurs in two different locations in the song without being tied to the tempo of the sequence for the entire song. I am one of two guitar players in the band, and I cover some of our keyboard parts using a Fishman Triple Play wireless midi controller triggering the software synths in Sonar or the includedTriple Play synth sounds in my laptop at our gigs. This particular part would be too much for me to play and sing at the same time. I have already created the sequence in Sonar, and my question is... can I use the Triple Play or some type of footswitch hands free start for the 20 second sequence, then return to zero to repeat the same sequence part again in the middle part of the song? Thanks for your help
