Great tune, Tony, and, as always, the vocals are to die for.  Really had a great feel to it sounding classic soul/r&b but with some modern elements.

I only listened on my pc speakers, but I'll make some comments on the mix based on that limitation.  During the spoken parts I had a hard time pulling out the words, and it seemed like maybe the kit was a little too far forward in the mix at times.  Also worth mentioning that these are minor crits on what was a great first listen of the day for me.  Terrific job, my friend.  LawnGuyLand rocks!

I think Tom had a great thought.  Your tunes are up to date but make me feel like everything is still right with the world.  Our times are so screwed up right now and this DOES make me feel better. I don't think the world changes a lot, it is us that change.  Your music brings feelings that make it all right.  I know I can't explain it so good and my world is fine but for some reason this song makes me....... well, I like it!!

Vocals need to come forward a good db or so.  They are so good, why hide them behind the beat?

This tune seems effortless, so easy for you.  And as usual, I am so jealous.

    Sweet and lush, !

Vox carries me away with the vintage groove, vocs, and chimes.
Mix, master, etc. feel solid, pro, and perfect.

"You make me happy" ... that hook really sticks and holds the song together.

Easily, my fav of yours to date! (10/10 on all levels).  The only thing I question is the 5 second outro feels slightly off!

I wished they'd play this in the roller-rink as it is most heavenly!

This is sick!! The mix, vocals, drum beat.....man. So good.

Do you always sing in your falsetto like that? O_o

Totally reminds me of something I would listen to while driving through the city, for some reason. (I love music like that!)

Yeah I just listened again, I really like what you did here, your talent is on full display sir.

The talent on this forum in particular never ceases to amaze me. I have listened to and participated in others around the Internet, and the quality and talent displayed "right here" exceeds what I hear elsewhere by orders of magnitude, and this is a perfect example right here.

Great track all around. Such a positive vibe – something we need more of. The vocals are killer – they just flow so well. Rhythm track is right on the money.  It sounds so completely professional (writing, recording and performance) it makes me wonder why I am hearing on the forum instead of the radio. Keep doing what you’re doing – it’s terrific.

    Tony,

I agree with other posts that this song takes the listener back to happier times.  Everything about it is top notch.   Love the vocals, kind of Smokey and a little Lenny Kravitz (It Ain't Over Til It's Over) influence, mix, instruments, playing, production, etc.... all outstanding.

The only thing I would even venture out to change is the ending, kind of abrupt.   Maybe a fadeout instead?    The listener on a euphoric musical high, would be let down easier with a fade out so they know when the end is coming and they can rewind and listen again from the beginning.:)

In any event, I'm going to be humming this tune all day.

    tony,

glad to see you back around youve been missing for quite a while!

Always expect good stuff from you and this no different, its packaged ready for radio.

smooth vocals, light on the ears, lovely acoustic, punchy beat with a sprinkling of bells.
    Simplicity always wins.

Would love to hear you sing in a lower tone with some grit too just to throw it out there.

    Love 2:13, gets me everytime.

    We want more.

Great tune, great hook, great performance. Love your vocals.
I agree with the Smokey vibe.
I too listen on a laptop. The only nit I have is there is a bell sound that is distracting sometimes.
