Slithering through the rain, malignant and hideous
Converging on Lincoln, oozing like pus from a sore
Some crawled from the sewers, grotesque and horrific
Some rode bikes and some washed up on the shore
 
They stopped traffic, obnoxious and terrible
And children despaired of the gift of sight
As the invading horde crept past the cathedral
Bub snagged Beagle’s becan and started a big fight
 
Bapu upped his post count, bandying yellow helpful banners
Daryl liked monkeys and Strummy threatened a kitten
Mooch had a hound dog, wrapped in clear plastic
James fought a virus and Mesh edited posts he had written
 
Jonbouy and the Mermaid collected every penny
Rain heard bagpipes and BayouBill apologized weakly
Alex played Scorps, and all brandished their cowbells
The Forum Super Fred denied it was dead and grimaced ever so sweetly
 
From 200 yards out, she dropped one on the lawn
Sweaty, flabby, and disgusting, his moobs flopped as he fell
Karyn reloaded, ate some cake and becan
She carefully aimed and shot the next one right in his cowbell
 
The crowd scattered quickly, fleeing for shelter
They raced behind trees too small for their purpose
Karyn’s bullets played the intro to Mississippi Queen
The scene looked like a psychotic circus
 
Bubba failed to use Beagle as a shield, went down in a cloud of becan
Old55 tried to stay alive and Bapu posted that he was OK
Karyn waved off the police who said, “What’s all this, then?”
She fired in the air and cried, “This is my Happy Birthday!”
