This FORUM software is total waste product. To get to any forum I have to first go to the very top level and then go to that place from hell before I can get anywhere else. It sucks and so do its access ports.

I use a batch file to open every forum in a separate tab with one click. Just open each forum you normally visit, then paste the URL into a text file and name it something like cw.bat. Create a shortcut to it on your desktop. I have similar batch files for kvr and gearslutz.

Old55 Try the "Jump To" drop down at the bottom right corner of the page. One has to get on to the forums for that to work, at present the only way for me is to start at the top. Once I am on then all the shortcuts work it is just getting the initial connection. Oh all other Internet sites appear fine. SteveStrummerUK STOP PRESS: ASP Playground CEO slowly and meticulously beaten to death with own legs fixed.

John - if you see my comments in MM's post I have been having trouble too and I suspect there are many more people having problems who can't ever get on the forum. I've been talking to "The Willy" about the problems and the last thing that he had figured out was that a server in the hop path was dropping packets. I'm not sure why we have to go thru THAT server to get to the forum, but that's what it seemed like they were finding. I'll point "The Willy" to this thread, too, so he knows it's not just me complaining!

I should have known that you'd know about the normal navigation stuff. I have had that login problem once in a while, but not often enough to worry about. I just thought the server was slow. Good luck.

And I thought it was only me.... I can log in but once in the forum, going into the sub forums seems to be a bit of a problem from time to time. I get the no records thing too.

Seems like I'm the recipient of mixed blessings - I get the "floating scrollbar to nowhere," but as long as I'm using Chrome, I don't seem to get the database errors. "It's always something..."

mmmmm...yep..that odd floating scrollbar is a real trip.... I'm wondering if there isn't some quibble that this forum has with Chrome....
