Has anyone else bought an SE Reflexion Filter who hates it?

Has anyone else bought an SE Reflexion Filter who hates it?

I've only ever heard good things about the Reflexion, so bought one and can't stand it! I'm hearing a lot of comb filtering, and I have the mic in the position recommended by SE. If I move it further in, it sounds truly horrible, and if i pull it further out, it doesn't absorb enough room sound to be worthwhile. Also sounds very weird when using mics in omni. 

I'm just wondering if anyone else has experience this, or am I going mad?!

I've tested it with both a Blue Kiwi and AKG C414 through an Avalon AD2022, into RME converters.

I'll have three fingers of Glenlivet, with a little bit of pepper... and some cheese.

    I got one a few weeks back in a bundled *deal* on a microphone I bought.

    It seems like such a silly idea that I never opened the box and I gifted it to someone who thought they would like to try it in their VO studio.

    Our church bought a bunch of them for the choir mikes..... they are now collecting dust in a storage room. I should ask if they want to sell one cheap.
