Has anyone heard from Spacy (Michael Henley) lately ?

I tried to PM him to no avail...

I was listening to our collaboration track of Chick Corea's "SPAIN",
and decided to post a re-mix on the Forum... Someone let him know please...

    Nope.

I've been missing him lately too.

I just emailed him (we did a collab a long time ago so I have his address.)  He says he's been busy, but worse than that, can't log in for some reason.

Hopefully we can get to the bottom of that. :-)

We had some small misunderstanding during a discussion about Mohamed Ali and he said he was going to take a break from the forum.

I've been missing his presence and comments.

    best regards,

    Frank, Michael says:

"I've never heard him do anything I didn't like and that there is no "d" in my name...Henley LOL

Tell him the guitar parts suck compared to the rest of the tune."

(Hopefully Willy will get his log-in problem solved soon.)

He's building a guitar. He's got no time for this Tom Foolery.

Well ya...Spacey got his own dumb self locked out. I figured I'd just
do what I could to correct my bad.
I was going to change my avatar and...rebuild for just a change and
did what I'm good at....messed it up. Locked my own dumb butt out.
My granddaughter did the same thing today and she came in through the bathroom
window. I was going to write a song 'bout that and guess what?
I'll just be repairing a window.

Yes I got very busy and still. I gave a friend my word and I'm working very hard to keep
    it.
I also got very disgusted wasting time defending an opinion.
Man the drama...can do without it myself. No time for it and indeed a good time to
    focus on important matters.
If folks want to think Ali was a class act...let 'em. I'll stick with he was a great boxer.

Mike I don't think we had a misunderstanding. We just didn't agree and I understood that. I don't think either of us spend time trying to change anothers thoughts although we both offer thoughts for consideration and that's always been cool between us. That's the way it's suppose to be isn't it? But no sense keeping on when we've said what we had to say. And you weren't the only one...you were the last one and I was already tired of defending my opinion of him.

Frank you sound great and I wish I could have done better at the time.
Your skills can work wonders on a lame guitar but...I'm not really happy with that lead.
Everything else is you doing what you do so good...and that's very good. I really appreciate you keeping me informed too. You're a gentleman to top it off.

Well I like my new name better and I added a link to photo's for the heck of it. If they can correct my goof then I'll be Spacey again. At least I have the oppertunity to give James the ebee geebee's or whatever...lol.

I've made statements that I plan on keeping too. I've said I'd post sounds of the guitar I built and the lap steel. I will. I just need to get time to meet all my obligations and keep my word.
Jeff my partner, the vocalist, also got back with me. He has had a rough time getting married and divorced this last year. Life's hit him hard but now he's wanting to write so maybe music will happen. I hope so.

Sorry for the long wind but wanted to do what I could to touch base.
What a nice thing to say Jon. Thank you.
And thank you Janet for the heads up.

    Michael
Oh Bapu...you're so right my friend.

    Hi Michael,

One things for sure... I enjoy your company a lot more than I enjoy speaking about boxers.

    Thanks for posting your thoughts.

    All the best,

Hi Michael HENLEY... Sorry about misspelling your name... I'm very "imbarrised"

Short term memory is going fast... My wife just reminded me of our wedding anniversary tomorrow... (38 yrs)  wait... that's long term isn't it?

I actually scolded Mr Mccue once for misspelling my name once (sorry Mike) (department of redundancy department)

...anyway it's good to know you're alive...

Mike I watched the movie (Ali) or wouldn't even know or care...lol...still don't care. I couldn't agree with you more and that even feels great!

Frank, I couldn't agree more. I'm really surprised I've lasted this long.
Live long and prosper. Man that last Star Trek was just fantastic. What
    a great...everything.

It's good to hear from you Mike... I've posted yet another remix on "Spain"

I bumped up the guitars, and I hope you don't mind, but I quantized the timing on the guitar solo slightly...

let me know what you think...

Frank the part with flute sounds better to me. They seem to be playing
together and the seperation nice. Very nice.
The comping rythym guitar is working nice with the keys and seperated nicely too.

Now the lead sounds as I remember it. Now it's in the right
place...could you fix those notes? LOL.

I'm reminded of a time in the studio when the engineer asked
me if I ever considered trumpet.....

Cool Frank. Thanks for the update.

I heard a lady singing this on the radio, don't know
who she was but I liked it.
I thru this together real quick just now so please...it's
just an example of why I mentioned Summertime w/urban beat.

I grabbed that Tele I built to lay this down...thought a little
practice at the end couldn't hurt....hope it doesn't.lol

Roberta Flack   "killing me softly" but I think a remake of the song was also done
later with a urban type arrangement. The original wasn't done that way.

Ya I don't know who she was but
it was just that urban beat, bass
and her. I sure enjoyed listening.

I remember when they use to have
DJ's that would talk....let you know
stuff. I have about an hour a day
trippin to/from work to listen and
most of the time I don't know what
I'm hearing unless I tune to classic rock-
    If there's a jazz station I can't find it.
And my wife has the sat radio.

Maybe someone will know who she is.

She was Lauryn Hill who was with the trio the 'Fugees' at the time, which consisted of Pras Michael, Wycleff Jean and Ms Hill.
