Has anyone mentioned this movie before?

Searching For Sugar Man

I saw it this weekend. Very touching documentary about a "lost" singer/songwriter of the 70s from Detroit.

I haven't seen the movie...I just saw a bit about him on 60 minutes a while back.  Does the movie ID whoever did make all the money from the album sales?

Spoiler alert, No. But there is a somewhat blessed ending, IMHO.

No, I haven't seen that movie but will keep an eye out for it.

I've seen similar movies but sorry, can't remember the title so I suppose it wasn't all that great, from memory it was one of those cliche stories; guy is miserable to begin with, then meets a beautiful girl, they eventually hit the sack and {ahem} {censored} and lastly of course a happy ending that would make a Borg drone cry. (NOT)!

Have to put that one on my "to see" -list.

I watched a film called "Seven pounds", starring Will Smith, last night. Maybe the best work ever I've seen by Will Smith.
Quite a touching film. Very emotional but avoided the overdose of honey.

    No, it's not Grease.

Did a search and finally came up with; Music and Lyrics, the movie I was talking about.   After reading the description I figured my interpretation of the movie might be slightly off, now I'm not sure exactly how the movie ended.

Yes. Good, interesting, 'is this for real" movie. At first I thought I was being taking in for a "Spinal Tap "or "Incident At Loch Ness' type movie. But from all appearances, this story is for real. Which is both touching and amazing.

It is a documentary, about the search for a very 'famous/not-famous' singer/songwriter.  If you don't believe in fairy tales, well this is about one that actually is real.
