Has anyone seen this crash yet?

Fired up the BCF2000 control surface before opening X1.  Went to preferences on the initial blank non project to add the BCF to the MIDI device list since I didn't use it last time I opened X1.  Clicked the BCF for input and output, clicked apply and kapooey...el crasho.  Of course had to restart PC since Sonar can't restart and Sonar.exe cannot be stopped from the task manager as usual.

Finally restarted and set the BCF up in devices and control surfaces.  Opened a project and started play back.  Worked fine far about a minute and then the teleport server error occured but play back continued.  I was able to exit X1 normally but had to restart PC since Sonar can't restart and Sonar.exe cannot be stopped from the task manager as usual.

Uh, I'd like to know how you got in to Preferences without having a project loaded first of all?

Keebo, I thought I read a thread  about how well the BCF200 worked with X1? Maybe not. I haven't seen that crash.

    Bub,

Edit>Preferences or bind 'P' to preferences. (I'm assuming you're serious? That might not be too safe a bet these days)

Well, I have been successful using the BCF in 8.5.3 and until tonight in X1a.  As in my signature specs, I use an M-Audio soundcard but did not update to the quick fix since I am using WDM mode instead of ASIO.

Do you think the quick fix may somehow remedy my issues even though it states it is for ASIO usage?

After reading the replies to my post, I went back and double checked, and I am 1/2 wrong.

If I fire up X1 with no project loaded and hit 'P', Preferences won't open. But, if I click on Edit, then Preferences, it works.

Seems to me hitting 'P' should work if you have a project open or not.

Bub, someone on another thread mentioned assigning P to preferences in keyboard shortcuts will allow it to work on a non opened project.  I haven't tried myself yet.

Teleport Server is BitBridge so most likely a 32bit plugin is causing that crash.

The P is treated more an the "I" (inspector), "D" (dock) and "B" (browser) which of course will only work with a project open. The P should have been a Global key binding - like "Control O" (file open).

But it is really easy to bind it - and once you do, it is there forever.

Don't fix it in the mix ... Fix it in the take!
