Haunting Presence

Finished a new song last night.  It's called "Haunting Presence".  It is part seven of the nightmare:
After recovering from their loss, the group resumes their investigation.  While looking into a new lead of evidence that this nightmare may be caused by something not of this world, the group is overwhelmed by a Haunting Presence.

Some interesting news... a singer joined the project so the album will not be instrumental.  He is responsible for the lyrics, vocal melody, and of course the vocals.  His lyrics will be written to match the album concept and backstory for each song.  This will bring the album to a whole new level.

You can listen to "Haunting Presence" on my Reverbnation page:

Enjoy!

Puts the sink in syncopation, very nicely done :-)

This is excellent Luke. Relentless pummeling only to be released into a space that seems initially better on the surface but probably isn't.
Synth solo in the beginning is very Rudess like. Drum programming is great. Interesting and enjoyable listen.

Ok, "danger, do not enter" sign goes on your head!  Some pretty cool stuff going on here.  Sounds mixed well and is clear and precise.   Vocals and "screaming ripping guitar in places would accent.  Nicely done tune.

Very haunting indeed. I hear the Dream Theater reference that Mike heard. Excellent production all around!

very cool as usual, some fine synth/lead work here, not really hearing the DT influence as others are, other than it is prog metal. definitely the best production you have given us yet!

    Glad I didn't miss this.
    It sounds very well produced.
    The drums are very good.
I will be very interested to hear what the vocalist brings to the mix.

    Love it!

Would rather it stayed with no vox... but then I've always loved prog instrumentals more than songs...

    Cheers,
