Having difficulties using TASCAM US122MkII with Sonar Producer Edition

Hey there my friends:

Trying to lay down a vocal track using the  TASCAM US122MkII  USB/ MIDI interface. I am using Sonar Producer Edition. Wondered if anyone can give me some advice as to what needs to happen. When I put in a new audio track it doesn't say where the track input is and where the output needs to sent. I am new at using this software so please excuse my ignorance as a result. Would appreciate someone who is very patient in explaining this to me so I can do my very best to remember what needs to happen.

Please advise

With many blessings

tigerlondon - have you set up the tascam in sonar after installing the drivers for it?  it still has to be profiled for sonar to use it.  which version of sonar producer edition are you using?

have you done any recording with sonar yet or is this your first attempt?  i ask to know what your level of understanding is.  if you haven't worked thru the tutorials in the help files I strongly suggest you do that.  they will help you to understand how to set up audio tracks and record and many other functions.  then come back and ask questions if you don't understand something in the tutorials.
