Having problem with new Sonar X2 installation and booting

I purchased the online upgrade from X1 to X2 Producer for 64bit Win 7.  After the installation completed on my new PC ( intel i7, 16GB Ram, 64bit), I tried to start the application, but it does not load.  The Sonar splash screen is displayed and then promply disappears.  The application does not load.  I have a couple of questions.
 1) Is there a log file created during the boot so I can review for errors?
 2) When installing X2 as an upgrade, do I need to have X1 installed on the machine?
 3) Where can I locate a boot log file?
Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thx - Michael

X2 is not dependent on X1 in any way. The upgrade is the full version. Did you try running X2 as administrator?

Right click the sonarpdr.exe and select Run As Administrator.

I had the same problem when I upgraded from X1d Expanded to X2. I fussed around and finally managed to get the program to work but am missing several parts of X2 for example RMix and VST Plugin manger.

Anyone have an idea about what could be wrong? I have tried right click and open as administrator and it doesn't help. I also upgraded my Win 7 OS.

    Thanks for any suggestions.
