Having tried to export to .mp3 file and sonar X1c says the encoder is not valid

Having tried to export to .mp3 file and sonar X1c says the encoder is not valid  
Where can I get the encoder for .MP3 files ?

    You either have to purchase it from Cakewalk or use one of the free encoders out there like LAME MP3...

    As scott sez above, Cake has decided not to make us pay for the third party mp3 encoder.  You can buy it, or if you have another program like Sound Forge that includes it that will work, or one of the free ones.
