Having trouble......changing meters MIDI

I have a project [mostly midi] that when I started writing it i thought was going to be a 4/4 piece.

It developed into a 6/8 piece [@90bpm] but I have written the thing with the PRV in 4/4 on 1/8 triplets @ 60bpm!!!

I can't for the life of me work out how I convert the view to the proper 6/8 meter @90bpm and keep all my midi in the relative correct positions let alone adjust all my delays so they are still in time.....

Any pointers on how I might go about this?

I want to do this as I want to import some preplayed 6/8 drumming midi files to see if I can liven up the drum arrangement.

I think all you need to do is change the meter to 6/8, then use Set Measure/Beat At Now to set the measure/beat of the first event (if not at 1:01:000), and then go out a few measues and set another event to the appropriate measure/beat to reset the tempo to align the timeline without changing the actual playback timing.
