Headphone outs in to control room how do you guys go about this ?

Hi all

Just wondering how do you all go about sending your headphone outs in to the control room?

Whats the best way to go about it ? Really long extension cords or puting the head phone amp in the controll room ?

Silly question I know but I have a long distance to travel from my control room to live room so trying to figure out the best way to do this

Thanks to all

Dedicated stereo feed from computer soundcard>patchbay>stereo feed to live room(50 foot snake)>headphone amp in live room. 4 person headphone amp.

If I had a dedicated monitor system to allow each person their own mix, it would be different. I don't so I have to live with a stereo feed. Everyone gets their own stereo feed and they can control the volume but not the mix. This requires being politically savvy to negotiate with the musicians and what the headphone mix should emphasize. Pain in the rear.

Yeah....that works.  But you'll obviously need to use two of them to get a stereo signal.

I actually run one room's headphones from the headphone out of the mixer->TRS to XLR cable->XLR patch panel to the room->XLR to TRS cable->Headphone amp with TRS input.  Only takes up one XLR jack on the panel. Of course it's not balanced, but it is stereo.

TRS input on the headphone amp would be nice for that....mine doesn't have it.
