Headphones and external Harddrives

Would it be harmful to travel with a set of studio headphones (not earbuds) in a computer case in the same compartment as an external drive.

I'm questioning the magnetic affect of the headphones on the hard drive.

No problem. A hard drive can take a lot more gauss than the permanent magnets in a pair of headphones.

The magnets used for erasing harddrives are big suckers with handles!  Of course, the stars could misalign and the tiny little bit of magentism coming from those headphones could wipe out that one important bit from your files...  Nah.
