    I'm gonna let SSD tech settle into itself and drop in price a bit before I start going down that road. I hear they still have a rather high failure rate and my Caviar Blacks are plenty fast for what I'm doing.

    I don't think it's gonna drop more than that in the near future. It would be helpful if Scott or someone else in the know would chime in on the reliability of these drives. There seems to be a firmware update. Would this help? Anyway, the sale ends at midnight PDT.

    I saw someone mention in another thread the newer ones are becoming more stable.
