Heads-Up - Latest Windows 10 Update

I needed to re-install my audio interface drivers after the most recent Windows 10 update. Not a big deal, but thought you might like to know in case you run into SONAR not seeing its interface.

I haven't had any problems with any audio interface unit in Win 10.  I have the latest Win 10 Pro updates and I also have the latest Windows "Insider" Windows 10 Pro version 15031.  My PC audio (Realtek), my MOTU 896mk3 Hybrid and Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 2nd Generation all work in both Windows 10 installations.

    For now...

Seriously, this has happened before and seems to affect some drivers but not others. This was a particularly lengthy update with several restarts, and aside from the initial Windows 10 update, is the only time I've had this issue.

Don't know if I have to re-auth Addictive Drums yet, but that's also been necessary after some updates.

I'm still getting some hiccups with presonus audiobox 44 vsl - have to turn it off and on a few times on occasion. I've installed the latest drivers from presonus.  A minor irritation

My guess it's potentially after any update.  Remember, with Microsoft, there are updates every 2nd Tuesday of the month.  So there will be Windows updates coming out next Tuesday.

if ever you find a piece of hardware not working, the first thing to try is to reinstall the latest drivers.

    Windows 10 64bit fully patched, 16 gig ram .
    PCR-800 Controller.  (Working in Win 10 1809 64bit)
    CPU: i5 4670.
    Video: Nvidia GTX560ti (latest drivers).
Audio IF: Focusrite 2i2 2nd Gen

    Internet always on.

    Software
    : Cakewalk by Bandlab (2018.09 B29)
    ASIO mode. 24bit 48khz 256 samples
    Rapture Pro, AAS GS2, VS-3, EP-4, VA-2, Chromophone 2, Z3TA+ 2, Addictive drums 2, Addictive Keys, Mpowersynth (latest), Iris 2, GPO5, Sampletank 3,

Just happened to me as well.  Same thing.  Once re-installed all was well again.  Thanks Craig!

Two clients this week lost their usb printers. A real annoyance trying to install the drivers.

This sounds like you just got the Win 10 version 1607 Anniversary Update, regarding the lengthy update with several restarts.

Going from version 1511 to 1607 is essentially a system upgrade.  The Windows installer even copies your previous system folders into a Windows.old folder for safekeeping.

No, had already done the Windows Anniversary update, which was much longer. This just seemed to be another of the "hey dude, time for an update" updates.

Do you have to pay Microsoft a finder's fee for bringing you the extra business?
