Hearing Piano Notes When I Play Soft Synths

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  I've been using Sonar X1 Essential for the past few months.  I moved my computer which entailed unplugging my MIDI and audio interfaces.  My recorded songs play back normally, but when I select an existing track to record additional music and press a key on my controller, I hear the correct instrument immediately and a delayed piano note proceeding it by a tenth of a second or so.  I could not find a solution to this problem on the forum.  If anyone can provide a solution or point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

Have a good day!

Dan

You have to have a piano synth enabled somewhere. Check the synth rack. The delay is likely due to a reverb plugin.

I'm having to guess a little about the way you have things set up, but I'm assuming you have your Kawaii-11 set up both as a controller and as a stand alone synth.  If so, you'll need to turn 'Local Keyboard off' or you'll hear both the note triggered in Sonar by the keyboard as  a 'controller' and the piano note the synth is playing, hence the slight latency.
Let us know a little more about how you've got things cabled up if that doesn't solve things.
