Hell Jelly

howdy y'all -

This week's Kicksville release is a little on the bizarre side....even the primary lyricist, Andy Ewen, isn't entirely sure what it means. It could be about the military industrial complex, or possibly it was a lingering childhood fear of Pop Tarts emanating from his subconscious. We'll never know

enjoy!

Bizarre, but I like it.  What is Kicksville?  Are you a band?  This is a very cool tune!!  Love the vocalist.  GHEESH, i'D LOVE TO SEE THIS PERFORMED LIVE!!!!!

    thanks, Warren!

that's a trickier question than you'd think Kicksville is a collective, including musicians, artists, writers, tech folks, and so on. There are nine or so people who make up the live version of Kicksville (we call it the City Council), and those are the folks who are also the core of the writing and recording process.

Confusing enough for you? There's tons of info on our main web site if'n you're curious to find out more.

FYI, since most of the players on Hell Jelly are in the live show, we'll probably be adding this to the set. It's going to be a fun one to play live for sure!

    Hi Conrad,

Hah!  This is wild. This is one of the coolest things I've heard in a while. I checked out your site...would love to see you guys live.

    Nice.

as Rik says, very cool. i could do without the samples (which seem a feature of your songs) as the underlying song itself is weird and unique enough to stand by itself. also the heavy guitars are a bit..out of place?
