Hello Again

Well guys its been about two years since I was last here and I never played that big a role so I guess you all probably won't remember me so a kid of re-introduction might be in order.
I do remember a few of you however, TruckerMusic, MamaBear, the guy behind BatsBrew (does he still post here? Bought one of his albums, its awesome) and there was this nice guy who used to post a LOT of orchestral stuff he did using Garritan, he was always helpful to me too.

Anyway, I'm Adam, 23 from the North East of England currently in my second year studying music at Newcastle University. Absolutely love guitar playing, been playing about eight years or something and working in my DAW is my other main passion. I love creating all kinds of music.

Not much else to say other than I have never been a user of Sonar before (which is why I left the forum, felt a bit cheeky when I was not using Sonar) but I just ordered X1 and it should arrive in a few weeks or so once the boxed version are finally available. (I'm oldschool, I like packaging with my product!)

Well that is about it, hello again.

EDIT

though I would also post this video link if anyone is interested. This is probably my main style of music if you will, a kind of progressive rock vibe but with influence from classical and film music too. The other side to me is more blues and fusion based. I like all sorts.

Well, you just commented on one of my songs, so you're more than welcome around here.  :-)

Yes, Batsbrew still posts a lot. May even have a new album out...not sure.  The guy with Garritan...maybe Ron (rolifer)?  Anyway, welcome back and have fun with X1.  Your video is great!! :- )

    Hi there.
I started out on Home Studio a while back.
I don't frequent these parts much, just got busy making music with Sonar 6...

Anyway, after a marathon download session today,i've got X1 up and running..
For first impressions i've gotta say,my music might be crap but i'll look good recording it!
Really is very well laid out, although it does suit large screens(or two screens)..

    rock on!

I've had my discs for couple weeks now Adam. There's nothing cheeky about investigating the scene here. The internet is a dangerous place. Glad you decided to take the plunge and X1 will be a good place to start. I hope you got the producer edition.

    Thanks guys!

Crg, I did indeed order the Producer edition. Being a student I was eligible for the academic discount so saved around 100 pounds which is always god!
Where did you buy it from?

I've ordered mine from Digital Village in the UK, a reputable dealer and I have bought from them many times so I am not overly worried :)

I always buy it from Cakewalk. Mostly due to the PT mindset at the local GC here. The music stores here in Vegas are somewhat lame.

I always buy from Cake to avoid the middleman (sic).

    Gear: A bunch of stuff.
