Hello Fellow Traveler (Now WITHOUT Reverb on Vocals)
Here is a laid back kind of number (considerably more than what I posted last time). It confirms my belief that cooperation is much more effective than competition. As always, I WILL appreciate any comments, feedback, and/or suggestions. Thanks!!! HELLO FELLOW TRAVELER http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_music.cfm?bandID=963481

My first reaction is a bit too much reverb on the voices. But maybe that was the effect you wanted. I do like the lyric/sentiment.

Hi Freddy - I hope you are well. I like it - it has a very dreamy, trippy quality. Drums sound great but I would like to hear them up in the mix a tad.

The vocals do sound a little to wet Freddy but it is a nice song with a valuable message, thanks for sharing.

Nice laid back '60s feel Freddy. Parts of this have the feel of my favorite 60's band - the great Moby Grape. You never disappoint my friend - had to listen all the ways through this one. Love it.

Nice one, Freddy! In spite of the reverb, your voice sounds like butter. It was a little hard to make out all the words, but you got the message across. We're of like minds.

Psychedelic, man... Trippy and fun, with a catchy hook. A good combination.

Hi Bapu. Good ears. Ya, I did use reverb on the lead and BG vocals. Ya, I know that I do have a penchant for using too much 'verb, as I probably did on this one. My intent was to use it to put a little bit of an ethereal feeling to the song. I thought that might match the lyrics. Oh well, what is it that they say about good intentions? Thanks for listening and for the feedback. Hi Daryl. Thanks for the comments and for listening. I was hoping for a kind of dreamy or ethereal feeling to the song but as Bapu pointed out I may have overdone the reverb. I'll be bringing the drums up a wee bit. Thanks again. Hey Wookiee. I appreciate your listening and commenting. I do tend to overdo reverb, so I appreciate your observation. Thanks. Hi Mark. Thanks for your very kind comments buddy. Moby Grape --- I remember them but haven't listened to them in a long time. I remember that they had a very straight ahead bass player. BTW -- I really love the new Blues number that you have posted. You did indeed capture the Blues. Hey Lynn. I appreciate your kind comments and I most definitely have gotten the message about the verb. I used my old BOSS Digital Delay DO-5, so I will need to re-record the vocals. Thanks again. Hi Steve. I did reach back a bit didn't I. Thanks very much for listening and commenting.

very trippy! it has that 60's psychedelic feel to it, yet sounds modern. the mix is very interesting...... i really like the plinky arpeggios that play across the rhythm track throughout, but at about 1:33 that part becomes too loud in reference to the rest of the tracks, and sticks out too much. it's a cool tune. if you rolled off some of the low end off the lead vox, and the effect as well, you could bring the vocal up more, and it would be more clear and blend in with the rest a bit better.

Freddy Got me into wanting to head out on an open road to somewhere. I had trouble understanding the lyrics (but that's mostly an issue with me) I like the mood and viewpoint of the song.

It's a cool tune - I would have liked more clarity for the lead vocal in the mix. I thought maybe the delay or reverb was too heavy - I'm not sure.

Hi Bats, Bjorn, and Doug. Thank you very much for listening to this number and for your comments. Please excuse my delay in responding but I have been working on re-recording the vocal and BGV's. That has been a task. After about a dozen takes on the lead vocal I am finally at a stage where I think the vocals are almost acceptable. I think that I still like the verb on the vocals but I know that I must be wrong because of all the comments that I received. The world can't be wrong, so I must be. I certainly will admit that the vocals are clearer, easier to understand, and well, OK, ya they do sound better. Thanks to everyone that responded. I do appreciate your input. This kind of excellent input is certainly the value of this forum. Please let me know if any other improvements might help this song. Thanks again.
