          Hmm looks like you problem is alt keyboard characters. Might be your operating system is Asian but your using a European keyboard. Ran into this problem in Turkey. They have 3 letters that look like i. but are not.
    Alt keyboard characters are fun.... alt 1 = ☺
    alt 0127 =
