Help! An AWFULL lot of time to load an existing proyecto or to create a new ONE.

A few days ago, I've noticed that Sonar X1 Expanded Edition is taking 3 minutes to load any Existing proyect OR creating a new proyect.
I have no idea what is happening.

Apparently, everything is set up normaly, don't get error messages.

I've defrag my HDs, ran software/registry doctors, but still takes an awefull lot.

Any advice?

Saludos from Mexico.

Yeah... that isn't good. I'm new to this program but I can think of two obvious things... you maybe have a virus on the system or you have some hardware failing. BACK UP ALL YOUR FILES! Then get your computer looked at by a pro if you cannot find the problem yourself or if you have a recovery disc you could try that. Someone else here might have better ideas but I would be very worried if that was happening to my computer for no reason.

next time you start soanr x1 expanded open task manager, see if you can spot a spike in juice somwhere else or sonar itself.
there might be something else trying to load everytime you open sonar,a driver, a program running in the backround, look their first then repoty back.

HiJackThis is better at spotting malware and stuff than task manager. It's a pain trying to read the logs though but there are forums that will read them for you.

Hi Guys, I have Iolo System Mechanic Installed since the computer was new. I regularly check everything once a Week at least. Also, all the other programs seems to be working fine, except SONAR. An uninstall and Install should be performed?

    Peace.

It could be HDs powering down, going to sleep.

Make sure you have no power saving on via the control panel.

    Hello Velle!

You mention "a few days ago"

Did you make any changes to your system or install any new software? If so, then this could be a possible reason as to why the load times are longer than usual.

Whatever the cause, I hope you get things straightened out soon.

It's most likely your System Mechanic running in the background. Try and uninstall it to see if it clears up the problem.
