Help! Did I lose a live concert recording? (SOLVED)

Tonight I was recording a live concert.  Everything was going fine for the first 1/2 hour or so.  Sonar X1B going non-stop with my Saffire Pro 40 (2 mics).  Suddenly my PC shut down.  Not sure why.  Power outage? Sonar crash? Luckily, I've been hitting ctrl-S (save) during applause of each piece.  Crash happened about 20 seconds after my 6th save or so.

I found the two 171MB files in the audio directory but no program can play them.  They were gone from my project so I tried to import them.  Sonar would not import them (no error or anything).  Probably a corrupt file.  Other audio players say invalid format (44.1/16).  Adobe audition says: Windows PCM file, uncompressed Size: 0K, Time 0:00.000

Since I've been hitting save frequently hopefully its just a corrupted header or something.  ANY IDEAS?

After rebooting and continuing, those files are fine.  So are all the test files for setting levels etc.

There are businesses in most cities that claim they can restore any deleted or corrupted file even reformatted drives. Check online, if one is near and looks decent I might give them a try most seem to be realy reasonable for a small job like that. I think they make their money of business computers... I would think you should be able to find someone to do it for under 100 bucks... maybe evenless if you provide the newdrive for the files. Maybe a thumb drive. If you have a friend in IT they may have the software and knowhow.
The files don't seem to be gone they just seem to have lost their ext name ? or thier association.. I don't know the correct terms but they are obviously there, it should be a really easy fix for someone who knows how and maybe someone here can tell you how to do it.

Thanks for the reply.  After a google search I found an easy answer.

    Download Audacity Freeware.  I used v. 1.3.13-Beta
Use FILE/IMPORT and select IMPORT RAW DATA.
It imported fine.  I used the default settings (Encoding, byte order, etc.) Once imported I hit play to test, then exported to WAV.  Already tested and it imported fine into Sonar.

    WHAT A RELIEF!

ps:  Here is where I found it:
