Help! Missing functionality from Sonar X1 Producer (present in producer 8.5)

Hi there,

I've recently purchased a copy of Sonar X1 producer, when I fired it up after installing I noticed that some of my ACT mappings had gone for my Akai MPK25 controller.

What has happened to some of the transport functions that can be ACT mapped?
These are present in Sonar 8.5

- Transport | More | Reject Loop Take (very important feature)
- Transport | Stop

Without these, my workflow won't....well...flow in Sonar X1 .

Will these be put back in??

Thanks

Did you did keep 8.5 installed when you installed X1 or did you uninstall it?

    Thanks for the replies.
I've upgraded to X1b, and I still have Sonar 8.5 on my computer.

In Sonar 8.5 I could access these settings in ACT to assign to my midi controller, but I can't find them anywhere in X1.

    Thanks again for the help.

They will have changed because the menus have been rearranged. Not sure about "reject take" but the stop option is there. Check through the various other functions. IIRC it now appears as Play/Stop in the list.

Reject take I don't use so can't help but it does seem to have disappeared completely, never mind just from the ACT listings. That is very bizarre if that's the case. Seems a crazy thing to remove.

    Cheers,

Yup the reject loop take was the main thing I was concerned about.

I find it really useful to ditch takes while I'm mid record and try again, all without having to stop recording and undo what I've done, then start again.

I guess the loop take functionality has disappeared with the X1 release, there is no mention of it in the help files either!

I'll get onto Cakewalk and see what they say.

    Thanks for the help guys.
