Help! crash then no play? fixed thanks

Help! crash then no play? fixed thanks

After a crash, I now open songs and hit the space bar but it just does a quick jerk then stops.
I rebooted the controller, ran sonar but it is the same for all songs.


I called Sonar, We refreshed some preferences (reset the config file to "default") and we loaded a tutorial file and it ran.
Then everything else ran thereafter. woo hoo those guys are good!

    Not enough info. What have you done differently on this computer since it last worked? Can you use the transport panel to play it instead of the spacebar? Do you use the computer for the internet? Are your hardrives full? Have you updated anything recently or added new devices? Details... the forum needz themz.

    I had a computer with about those specs last year and I sure am glad it's gone! You have a few things missing it would be good to know. Audio interface? Are you using 64 bit version of x1? Is a new instal of Sonar, did it run before?

    I'm 32 bit
    Everything has been fine with x1 expanded for months of editing almost every day.
    BR800 digital recorder is my interface and soundcard.
    The transport bar does the same thing. play doesn't work, fast fwd goes ahead about a half a bar, record does not work.
    If I use the BR800 as a controller it does the same thing as the above.
    What has changed?
    Today I was opening some older songs and doing a bit of editing such as adding prochannel effects that did not exist and doing a bit of V-vocal for bad notes and a bit of AudioSnapping.
    The crash seemed to relate to opening the FX/Audio/plugin layout/manage layouts.
    I was also doing a bit of cleanup on the files and deleting old songs and templates
