Help menu

When I installed X2 the first time, I started working on some projects. When I needed help, I was going in the Help menu and selected the proper sub-menu (Audio, MIDI, Instruments, etc.) and so on. The help was displayed in a new window (the same kind of window used in other applications). I don't know what happened then, today I realized the Help menu calls the browser and now I get help from the cakewalk website. At first I thought it was a bad install. So I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, and again, whatever I choose in the second section of the Help menu (Audio to Advanced sub-menus), X2 always calls the web browser. Is it normal? What if one day the internet is not accessible for some time. Will I get any help from the application?

In Preferences go to advanced and select always use offline help.

LOL you could have used the online help to find out about the offline help.

Of course I am glad I was able to help.

Yeah they hid that in a lame spot and for some reason online is the default. There should be some kind of message telling you how to change it when it tries to open your browser. This issue comes up pretty often.

It does come up pretty often, doesn't it?  I think the reason online help is the default is because they update it more often than the offline help file.  I think that's the theory, anyway - and it makes sense.  But I don't know if the online help is updated all that often in actual practice - it's not like there's a version number for it that has a date.  Not that I know of, anyway.
