Help needed with my Boss ME-25
Hello everyone. I've got a problem. Last week I installed Sonar X1. I connected my Boss ME-25. After a search for the right drivers on the internet I got it all working. A few days later I installed Guitar Rig 5 (to work with Sonar, like GR4 did). But when I hop into Sonar, it can't find my ME-25 no more!! Every program on my computer can find it, even GR5. Except for Sonar... I tried to uninstall GR5, Sonar X1 and my drivers and re-installed Sonar X1 and the drivers. But Sonar still can't find my ME-25! Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

OK - couple of questions 1. Do you have it plugged in to a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port? 2. Are you looking in MIDI Devices or in Audio Devices? I know the doc for the pedal say that it functions like an audio interface I will try to help you work through this - just need your responses to the questions so I can get a better idea of your setup. 1. USB 2.0 2. What? Well, last week I made an Audio Track with the ''Input'' set to something like ''ME-25''. And the ''Output'' to ''ME-25 Out''. It worked perfectly. If this is what you mean?

When I plug in my ME-25 to my pc, Sonar pops up this message saying: ''ME-25, the above Audio/MIDI device was connected to your computer. Do you want Sonar to add this device now?'' I tried both Yes and No, nothing works.

I asked about midi ports, because my Presonus AudioBox 1818VSL wigs out when it is plugged in to a USB 3.0 port. OK - in Preferences, under Audio>Devices, do you see the ME-25? Checked? Also in Preferences, under MIDI>Devices, do you see it there too? Checked? I ask because it is my understanding that it functions like an audio interface and also as a midi device. So, I am just wanting to understand what Sonar has it enabled as. Thanks - I will keep an eye out for your reply, Bob Bone

I did a bit more reading, of the user's manual for the ME-25. It seems you should be able to select the ME-25 from the drop-down list for an audio track. It did indicate that if AUX In was used for the ME-25 that this does NOT transmit through the USB. (Don't know if this applies). Bob Bone

So, unless you just like me, you seem to be indicating that this may have been the issue for you, and all is now well in your corner of the universe? Bob Bone
