Help piano roll playing different rhythm

Hi my first post here:) ive had sonar pro about a month now and im having a major problem with the piano roll:(. For some reason sonar keeps playing a diffrent rhythm from what im putting in the piano roll. I put down a basic melody all in qauvers or 8th notes to some so it should be a consistent rhythm bit for some reason thats not what plays back? Does anyone know why? Its almost like a humanizing effect id being applied i had the same problem with drum beats. Anyone have any ideas ive tried searching but cant find anything. Been away from daws for about 5 years now and picked sonar for the rent to buy so its not like im new to this or anything hut its starting to frustrate me lol. Any help would be appreciated thanks. Kenny

Possibly too small a "Prepare Using nnn Millisecond Buffers" setting. The default is 250, try 500 or 750. For more info see http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=0x22B0A
