Help with MIDI device dropout on sonar restart!!! Please!!!

So my problem seems pretty unique. I cant find anyone having the same problem. 

I am using 2 BCF 2000's as control surfaces in Mackie emulation mode and they work fine but my problem is every time i get them setup, as soon as i quit sonar and come back in to sonar, i go to preferences, and control surface, and one of the BCF's is there but the device is not selected and the other BCF isn't even there. I then go into devices and the second BCF is not checked.

 Its so irritating because i have to set up my control surfaces every time i start sonar. Why does it not save the settings?

Can anyone help? I have even tried to reinstall Sonar.

    Hi. 
    I've encountered similar issues when my MIDI input / output devices weren't correctly configured.  Either the MIDI port being used for the control surface wasn't enabled, etc.  Once the MIDI input / output devices were enabled, then I was able to permanently set the Control Surface MIDI ports to use.

    I am running them both USB in windows 7. When i go into devices under midi, one of the BCF's is checked all the time but the second one has to be checked every time sonar is restarted in both "inputs" and "outputs".

    anybody else have any ideas? i can't for the life of me fix this problem.
