So i finally got arround to buying a new headset that plugs into my Audiobox 2 usb so i can work more productively without using MME. Anyway this is what is being reported by Sonar , So can i lower it even further and what settings would i change please ? http://imgur.com/a/cWlv4

If you click the actual image on Imgur , It will become full screen and clear. Thanks Dan

I just tried on my phone and for some reason it wouldn't enlarge. I just went on my Desktop and could so not sure if the app is needed to enlarge or request desktop mode in the phone browser.

Can nobody help with this , I would just like the best settings please , I have also gone from 16 bit to 24 bit 44.1KhZ for all future recordings . But what are the best ones to use for me ?

Your latency is reported under the driver settings. Essentially it's samples/sample-rate to work out your time in milliseconds. Also add any offsets like round trip latency. e.g. 1024 samples at 44100Hz is 23ms add on plus an offset of 10ms would make 33ms. If you want less latency you need higher sample rates and smaller buffers meaning more CPU use as a cost. Try 512 Samples or even 256 to see how your system performs. You have a modern system very little bottlenecks with the SSD drive. On my system it's reported as 56.4ms at 44.Khz 32-bit using a 10ms ASIO buffer.

Hi. Your latency seems fine for me, for recording. It shows 9,7 ms RTL in SONAR, on the photo. As long as I get below 10 ms RTL, I'm ok with it. If you don't have any issues when recording now, leave it as is. When you start mixing, increase the latency. Hope it helps. All the best.

using your soundcards preference panel. When recording.. latency needs to be manageable, however when mixing you don't need to have it as low.

I don't have an Audiobox, but my guess is to change the safe mode to high latency when mixing.

Your latency looks fine. Note it is not something that you just set and leave! It is something that you manage while you are working. In Preferences > Audio > Driver settings you should see a button that says Asio Panel. That should launch the ASIO panel for your device and allow you to select a buffer size. The lower the buffer, the less latency but the more CPU strain. The higher you go the less CPU strain but higher latency. So you want to keep it low for tracking (to monitor your performance live with minimal delay) and high for mixing when input latency is not an issue but you need CPU resources for plugin processes etc. If you set it too low for the available resources you will start hearing popping, clicking, getting dropouts etc. To fix that, set the ASIO buffer higher. There are no exact recommended settings to use at any one time. It all depends on your audio device, system, workflow etc.
Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

I never change my buffer. I set it at the lower medium end and just leave it there. On the Tascam and Scarlett it's the same which computes to about 24-27 ms RTL. I think this is 256 ms but Scarlett shows this as 7ms and the Tascam calls it Medium lowest. The reason is I don't use real time effects while recording, and at this setting I don't have problems with recording midi. Only time I change it to 3 on the scarlett is when tracking digital drums,, but even at that setting I still hear an echo so for me there's no point changing.
