Help with male tenor pop vocals :|

Helllooo everyone, right now im recording a song and I dont know if I just dont like my voice, or if it doesnt fit.

here is a samplee: http://www.box.net/shared/2dzduaz2qv
disregard the guitar mess ups haha, i only made this to show you guys. all i did to the vocals was run them through melodyne plugin and autocorrected. Its a bad habbit, I do that with everything -_- you can espcially tell it messed up on "phone", it brought it down a half step for some reason.

But what im really concerned with is the tone. I sing first tenor in my school chamber, and last year in the choir. Is my voice just not right for pop music? It sounds.. im not sure, nasaly? any advice is appreciated :[

If you're looking for a serious opinion, I'd say that TONE is the last thing you need to worry about, based on that clip.

    PITCH
    TIMING
    CONTENT

All need some serious work there....

ahaaa yess, as serious and brutal as they can beee :]

im goingg to redo it in a bit, I rushed it because I really needed a showerr.

i agree with the pitch and timing :| I should do some more takes untill I feel comfortable
as far as the lyrical content is concerned, not my biggest issueee right now hahaa. Ive written a few songs, and I go back and forth when recording, just found out vocals are a major issue and i want to fix thatt before I spend even more time writing meaningfull lyrics only to realize my voice isn't suitted for the type of music I want to make :|

The second one definitely sounds better.  It sounds like you are singing while playing guitar.  The rythm of the vocal phrases sound a little meandering at times, like everytime you sing it, the rythm is a little different.  Some of the phrases sound like you are trying to say too many syllables.   You don't sound really comfortable with the rythm.  I advice would be to record the guitar first (if you haven't already) and get into a groove with the words.  Practice singing this song alot - without recording voice.  You need to get this song "into" your voice before recording it.  Your voice will work great with the song.  You just need to develop confidence singing it - and that will come when you feel the rythm of it.

If you want to improve your voice - try the forum on The Modern Vocalist web site.  You can post your song there and get a lot of good feedback from great singers.
