Help with non-daw Vista recovery

Got it fixed with a $40 utility to reset to a system restore point.

    There is no recovery from VISTA.

    My thought as well.  Best hope is upgrade to XP or Win7 or Win 10.
     
    All Windows versions seem to suffer from RPD - Restore Point Disintegration usually caused by auto updates.
