Help with setup? Only record two channels?

Ok, so I have Home Studio 7 and an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R with a capable Windows 7 x64 computer.

I had a Line 6 UX8, and I could never figure out how to record more than one channel at once.  Well that fried a week outside of its (short) warranty, So I got the M-Audio.  Now I can easily set sonar to record the left, right, or sterio off the M-audio, but nothing like 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8... they dont show up anywhere.

MIDI seems to be working, I got cakewalk to be the master time-keeper... thinggy. (using the technical words here)   Other than just the basics of recording, Im pretty inexperienced with setting this whole deal up.  I must be overlooking something. Hopefully you guys can help me out!

Thanks!

If you go to the top of the console view(mixer) theres a drop down list that will tell you all the availiable inputs into sonar

1. Choose the Options > Audio menu.
2. Click the advanced tab.
3. Make sure the Driver Mode is set to ASIO (preferred) or WDM (still good but ASIO is usually better).
4. Click the Drivers tab and make sure there are checkmarks next to all the M-Audio inputs and outputs.

If those settings are correct, you should be able to see a list of all available inputs/outputs when you go to set the audio track input or output.

Garrigus, thanks so much!  Works perfect now!

Now I can actually use my stuff as it was supposed to.
