Herb/Greg Snow's on the way!

Woke up to find snow on the ground again.  According to the preicpitation prognosticators it'll be snowing ALL day with sleet/snow to follow this evening.  Whew!

Here's my front door view @ 6:35AM 5min after I left tracks on the sidewalk.

I have been watching the TV closely....

I've also been hearing widely varying reports, everything from "An Epic Snow" to a trace.

Looking at WRAL TV5's storm report.... it looks like we might get enough to cover the grass, followed by freezing rain & ice..... I can do without the freezing rain/ice thing.

Last night they said the northern part of the state has a dome of dry air over us, and it would take a long time to saturate it enough for the precip to start reaching the ground. Likely mid afternoon today.

So I guess I'll drag my butt out today and hit a few service calls before the weather arrives.

    Nice picture....!

Be safe Herb.  My daughter's school has already closed for the day and we're just sitting here staring at each other.

Glad you liked the pic.  I thought the dead/dried up flowers either side of the side walk added a nice touch.

It's supposed to snow here in Missouri all day too.  Maybe I'll take my oldest grandson sledding again.  :-)  IF we really get 2-6 inches.  We'll see.

I'm supposed be at work at 4 pm. I hope it hurries up and starts here so I can make the decision not to go.
I have a 26-mile commute, and I'm scared of ice.
    Where are you located, Psalmist?

Guess I'm a little late to the party.

Did you make it in to work Greg?  I'm in Fayetteville.

It's been raining since about 8PM and the temp will drop below freezing overnight.  I'm NOT looking foreward to tomorrow morning.  We're on a 2hr delay at work.  Hopefully the black ice won't be too bad.

I  didn't go. Only had a four-hour shift. Not enough money to risk my only car, or my health.
We only got a dusting here in Clayton, then the freezing rain started.
I went to high school in Fayetteville, Seventy-First.

Janet,I hope you and the grandson had fun.  We got about 5 inches then it started raining.

Greg, no sense taking unnecessary risks.  I'm here at work now, today being Tuesday.  Worst part was getting out of my neighborhood.  It doesn't make much sense going in to work as today is more risky driving around than yesterday.  Go figure!  My front yard is one solid peice of ice.

We just got enough snow during the night to go sledding. We'll see how it goes today. It's awfully cold and windy out there...
