Thanks Scott.

Is there a way to move tracks around like in 8.5 in the console view by draging?

What about the track view or via menu somewhere?

The track manager SHOULD let you do this, right? Seems odd that it doesn't.

You can alter the track list in the Track view by clicking and dragging the track icon (the one next to the track number) up/down to move the track in the list. You can also use the Track Sort feature via the Tracks > Sort Tracks item in the Track view menu.

You can't drag strips in the Console view like in 8.5, but I believe they will be adding that feature back in via an update, not sure when though.

Cool. Just tried it. Drag the big icon below the track number.

Great news about the update.

Radius algorithms are only available for offline.

And you can set both Online and Offline render for each clip individually via the Clip section of the Inspector... as well as for an entire track via the Track section of the Inspector.

Yes, but I don't understand why iZotope should be limited to off-line only? stretch out manual without any playback are an "off-line process". If you have a modern computer convert clips takes less then one second. Why not make an option to convert in full quality during stretching out the clip in realtime?

I have no idea. You'll have to ask someone at Cakewalk that question.

Select a clip of regular audio. Select the smart tool. Move smart tool to either the front or back of the clip like you are going to slip edit it. A blue line appears. Hold down Ctrl and the blue line becomes yellow. Now click and hold the left mouse button and move toward the clip or away from the clip. It stretches! You can speed it up or slow it down without affecting the pitch! Very cool! There's even a cool percentage bar on the bottom of the clip to see how much you have stretched it.

Or you can slip or slide the audio without moving the clip itself. Shift+Alt. Very cool too.

Anyone know how to get more accurate percentages? in 8.5.3 percentages were more precise such as  83.958% in X1(b) using the above method can only seem to get rounded percentages like 83% or 84% working on a remix and need to stretch by 83.958 could do it no problem in 8.5.3.

Thanks in advance:-)

Inspector>Clip>Audiosnap. Select the clip, then tick Enable Stretch. Now type in the Stretch Amount. Although it only shows one decimal place, it looks like you can type any precision at all and it changes the duration.

Cheers, Peter.

Oh I know, cool feature...and just as a note...stuff like that is explained in the SONAR X1 Explained Videos by Groove3... Groove 3 did a really great job on their training videos. I received an email from Cakewalk in regards to the training package from Groove 3 and ordered it straight away...check it out.
Oh by the way...so...waz up with the SONAR X1 colors, I know I can change the clip colors (background and so forth) but under preferences/colors...changes other than X1 Dark and X1 Light fail to take hold like in earlier Sonars. No complaint here, just wondering if anyone else has run accross this limited color issue.

Most color changes in X1 require a restart to show up, and some simply are not changeable (e.g. the Active Track Background). I think Cakewalk are planning some improvements to this in X1b.

Since this is not a new feature, but A1MixMan thought it might be new to X1, the question is, what (if anything) is different about X1 that made the OP find this feature now?

Software: Cakewalk by Bandlab; Adobe Audition; Band-in-A-Box audiophile; Izotope Ozone; Encore; Melodyne; Win 10 Pro, 64-bit.

Thank you, found it. Shame its still not as accurate as 8.5.3 though. I just reinstalled 8.53 to do the job.
