"Herfstgedachten" aka "Ouverture" now with guitar and stuff by Morenoise

Hi All, since some of you thought the original was to short I added a guitar part that was actually the inspiration for the original piece. Have a listen if you like :

    Hi Rik,
Listening to it right now.  The guitar really completes the picture compared to the earlier piece.  Nice, thoughtful intro, and the middle section is very cinematic.  Well done!

Very moving piece.  I too thought it "cinematic".   Sounds like a bear to play.  Daryl

    Hi, Rik,

I've been away from the forum for about a week, so I missed the first version, but this one sounds fantastic!

The acoustic guitar and orchestration sound beautiful together and I agree with the "Cinematic" comments above.  This could easily be a wonderful soundtrack to a Hollywood art or mystery film.

Wonderful composing and great playing, as always, my friend!

"Autumn Thoughts" is the perfect title for this piece with the softly changing textures of the music mirroring the beautiful changes that Autumn brings to the landscape. I also hear an underlying expectation of the winter to come (BUT NOT YET, PLEASE!). This piece is exquisitely lovely. Best Regards Malcolm

Hi cwestmont, thanks for listening, glad you liked the guitar.

Hi Bob, you didn't miss anything, I posted the middle part first. I composed the middle "cinematic" part on the guitar seemed like a waste to not use the guitar part, which started as a double arpeggio exercise. Glad you like it, my friend.

Hi Daryl, thanks for listening, it does get "grisly" in places.

Hi Malcolm, I thought we just had Winter, oh no that was Summer .  Glad you liked my "Herfstgedachten", not quite the ballet in four acts but who knows.....

    Hi Rik,

This is brilliant - I like both versions but this one is better.

As always, your guitar playing makes me envious (or possibly bitterly jealous, but I wouldn't admit to that in a public forum).

    Cheers,
    Terry.

Hi Terry, thanks,  I'll be bitterly jealous when you win that Oscar for best music  in a horror documentary.

absolutely amazing Rik, great playing, and the two parts fit together so well...the point when the strings come in and there is that dissonance is just fantastic music...

Hi Herb, thanks for listening, glad you like it.

Hi Vicente, thanks, first version was just the middle section.

Hi Mark, wow, thanks. Gotta have some dissonance before it gets to twee. ; )
